It’s not every day I’m commissioned to paint 17 Arabian horses on 34 plates but ‘the proof is in the pudding’ so to speak as here are some of the plate I have painted for my client.
They are all oil paintings no bigger that a standard dinner plate, and No! they are not for eating on, the will probably be hung on a wall as a display.
I love this job as it presented quite a challenge and I like a challenge. Just to getting the paint to stay on the plate was, shell we say interesting, but once I got the hang of it there was no stopping me and I’m very please with the result and so is my client.
Sometimes I paint gifts for those I love and hold dear.
My Mum loves gorilla’s and this year for her birthday (in January – Happy Birthday Mum) she got her very own Young Mountain Gorilla watercolour painting from yours truly.
The look on her face was well worth the effort, she was blown away and almost in tears of joy. It has now taken pride of place in her lounge.
Maybe you know someone who would be moved by an original painting of there favorite animal or there most beloved pet. If you do, look no further, my pet portraits start at £150.

The cows were as curious of me as I was of them, hence the title of this art work ‘Curious Cows’
Living in a country village here in East Sussex, I am surrounded by beautiful landscapes, farm animals and wildlife. So much of my work is inspired by my every day life and the walks I take.
These lovely cows belong to the local postman who keeps them because he likes them and he knows each one by name. While I was out walking one day I noticed they were all by the gate so I stopped to take photos and that’s how this painting came about.
My First Solo Exhibition was 2014, At the Coach House Gallery in Alfriston, East Sussex.
I hired the Space and did all my own marketing all with in a month of my launch day. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about curating ones own exhibition. I did sell some works but it was about more that just selling. The feed back from prospective clients and the public was invaluable. Up until this moment I didn’t really know how my work would be received by others and on the whole it was well received. The majority of people loved my work and the compliments can thick and fast, of course there is always some who will wan to knock you down but I didn’t let their comments dissuade me, bring me down or stop me from my ultimate goal, to be a full time artist.
As a result of this first step, I now sell Limited Edition Signed Prints in several venues around Sussex and one in Devon and I am currently selling my originals in The Alfriston Art Gallery and here on my website, Long may it continue.
