It’s all on the plates
It’s not every day I get commissioned to paint 17 Arabian horses on 34 plates
But ‘the proof is in the pudding’ as here are some of the plates I painted.
They are all oil paintings no bigger that standard dinner plates, and No! they are not for eating on, they will probably be hung on a wall as a display.
I loved doing this job as it presented quite a challenge and I like a challenge. Just getting the paint to stay on the plate was, shell we say “very interesting”, but once I got the hang of it there was no stopping me. My only fear would be to drop one as the Harrods, Villeroy & Boch plates cost £98 a piece and the Wedgwood, Vera Wang, Lace Gold plates cost around £32.
I had 17 of each and am please to say I didn’t drop any “few”
I’m very please with the end result as is my client. Would I undertake this type of challenge again, absolutely it was a great learning curve.
